I went to the family meeting of my 91 year old patient with new diagnosis of cancer. With this new hospital visiting initiative I've gotten more involved with my patients in the hospital and today I was able to make the time to briefly attend the palliative care meeting with my patient and his family. I actually really enjoyed that because I learned things about him I never would have in a 20 minute office visit, and got to meet his family. Today, I'm just thankful I had the opportunity to participate in such an important day in my patient's life.
Incidently, today is also our 1 month wedding anniversary and my 2 yr anniversary working for Kaiser...
